The Sunday Country Market will likely begin on June 25 (and run through September 3) except on Shirley Day, which is August 20 in 2023.

The Market is held on every Sunday of every week throughout the Summer season!

Last weekend @childs.collective and @artbyalexawright held a pop up shop, and they’ll be back again on the Nov 18/19 weekend!

This coming Sunday is the annual Shirley Fall Craft Market. Come for local vendors, food, and music!

And then on November 25th, you can have your annual holiday photos taken with @amylobbportraits !

Sharing on behalf of a local community member who has organised this fundraiser for Diabetes Canada.

Date and Time: Saturday, September 30, 10am - 3pm. No early birds please as we need the time to set up.

The bazaar will include:
- New items and gift baskets - these would make great gifts for any occasion.
- Silent auction (closes at 2pm) - Thanks so much to so many local organizations, we have some great items from SEAPARC, Stoked Wood Fired Pizzeria, the Lazy Gecko, Shannon Lee Rea, and Livin' the Dream Farm.
- New-to-you (upscale yard sale for those who like thrifting and looking for bargains) - includes puzzles, games, books/DVDs, houseware, health & fitness items, clothes and more.
- Refreshments for purchase

This will be a cash only event. We'd love to see you there.

The Sooke Apple Festival at the Sunriver Community

The Sooke Apple Festival at the Sunriver Community Garden was wonderful today! So many familiar faces, a stunning setting, and a number of our @shirleysundaymarket vendors were there - some with booths, some volunteering, and some enjoying the chance to be customers themselves. We love these community events!

We couldn’t feel like the season was really done until we shared this recap of the final Shirley Sunday Market of 2023. The rain may have caught a few people off guard, but it was still a wonderful day to bring so many together from our tiny community.

Thank you everyone for the 2023 market season!

We wrapped up almost two weeks ago, but took some time off social media to recoup and focus on family. Apologies for the delay on updates and recaps!

A huge thank you to all of the vendors, volunteers, musicians, visitors, and shoppers that made 2023 one of our best seasons yet! We heard so much fantastic feedback and we look forward to more wonderful market and community days next year.

We will share some Shirley community news on the account over winter and the occasional post. And we still need to share our weekly market recap from the final market! The account will slow down a bit for this time, but we’ll still be around ☺️

In case our posts saying it is the final market of the 2023 season wasn't enough to get you to visit tomorrow, we hope this will.

@dakshasgourmetspices are planning to retire after this year. Therefore tomorrow is the last time we will see them as vendors in Shirley. We have been so honoured to have them, not only for their excellent products and books, but for their kindness and joyful presence. We will miss them and wish them well.
